What We Believe

About God

God is our Creator and Sovereign Ruler of the universe. He is the one and only true living God and Savior of mankind and has eternally existed in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and is co-equal with God, the Father. He came into the world, conceived by the Holy Spirit of God and born by the virgin Mary and was fully god, yet fully man. He lived a perfect and sinless life and was crucified for the sins of the worldand was raised by the Spirit and power of God from the dead. Today, He rules and reigns in heaven at His Father’s right side and will return again to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is fully equal with God the Father and the Son. He inspired holy men to write the scriptures. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He baptizes every believer into the bocy of Christ at conversion, comes to indwell and seal them until the final day of redemption. He guides, empowers, and enables every believer with the ability to live the Christian life.

About Man

Man was created by God in the image of God for God’s own pleasure and glory. In the Garden of Eden, the first man, Adam chose to disobey god, introducing sin and death into the world. Consequently, men are sinners by birth and by choice. It is only in and through Jesus Christ that sinful men can be reconciled to our holy God.

About the Bible

The Bible is God’s love letter to the world pointing us to the Savior and teaching us how to live in this world. It was written by men who were divinely inspired and guided along by the Holy Spirit of God. It is the supreme source of truth for all mankind and therefore is without any mixture of error.

About Salvation

Salvation is God’s free gift that He graciously offers to all who will by faith, repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

About Baptism and Communion

Baptism is an act of obedience unto God after one has received Christ by faith as their Savior. Baptism is by immersion and symbolizes the believer’s faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior. Baptism does not save you, it is your public testimony, identifying you with Christ as a born-again believer.

Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper, is an ordinance given by Jesus Christ to His Church. It is His way for us to remember Him and the supreme sacrifice He made as our substitute on the cross. The bread and the juice are symbols Of Christ’s body and blood. Communion is not a means of salvation, but rather, an expression of our faith.

About the Church

The Church is made up all born again, baptized believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the visible expression on earth of God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ is the Head and we are the body. The church exists on earth to glorify God by obeying the Great Commission to “make disciples of all nations” and the Great Commandment – to “love God with all your heart, all your soul, and with all your mind and to love your neighbor as yourself.”
